Final Dismissal Plans

Dear Parents-
Thank you for being patient with the dismissal at Herrera. It looks as if the car pool side is really running smoothly, taking approximately 25 minutes only.

On the walkers’ side, we tried the routine suggested by parents and community members attending the Friday morning meeting at Herrera. The procedure ran very slow and created several new problems and concerns. Due to the numerous complaints and issues that arose, we have decided to suspend this procedure except during inclement weather.
Starting Monday we will return to the previous routine. PreK and Kinder will be on the concrete area in front of the playground, 1st grade will be under the covered area immediately outside the glass doors, and 2nd through 5th grade walkers will be sent out to the grassy area beneath the shade of the trees.

Queridos padres-
Gracias por ser paciente con el despido en Herrera. Parece como si el lado de los coches realmente funciona óptimamente, tomando aproximadamente solo 25 minutos. Por el lado de los que caminan, intentamos la rutina sugerida por los padres y miembros de la comunidad que asistieron a la reunión del viernes por la mañana a Herrera. El procedimiento fue muy lento y creo varios nuevos problemas. Debido a las numerosas quejas y problemas que surgieron, hemos decidido suspender este procedimiento excepto durante las inclemencias del tiempo. Comenzando el lunes volveremos a la rutina anterior. PreK y Kinder estarán en el área concreto frente a la zona de juegos, 1er grado estará bajo el área cubierta inmediatamente fuera de las puertas de vidrio y 2da a quinto grado serán enviados a la zona de pasto bajo la sombra de los árboles.
